Description

In 1938 John W. Campbell Jr. writes the short story "Who Goes There?" In 1951 Howard Hawks brings the short story to film with his interpretation "The Thing From Another World". In 1981 screenwriter Bill Lancaster returns to "Who Goes There?" and writes a script based on the short story for a movie version of Campbell's original novella. Alan Dean Foster writes a novelization of Lancaster's script and in December 1981 John Carpenter starts to direct the 1982 film, "The Thing"

In 1992 I was at my high school in PA and found that old 1930's book then I started to read it all weekend and one time I even had a nightmare from the book then the 82 film Anyway here's my take from the book of a 'kennel sequence' where the dog-thing was about to take over some of the dogs.

If you want to readn the book in texts here's a link:

Thanks for the link to the story.  I'd heard about it before but never had a chance to read it.

It's someone's fanfiction where they wrote the story of "The Thing" (the movie version) from the point of view of the monster.  I thought it was really cool.
